Race for the Cure

Wow, it's been a while since I've last posted. Well, today was the Race for the Cure. I walked 5K ( 3.1 miles ) and my time was 1 hour and 7 minutes exact. It was my second race, the first being the Thru the Zoo back in May of 2003. It's been 3 years since I last participated in a race and I think I did fairly well!
I woke up at 6 o' clock and dressed in about 2-3 layers of clothes, munched on some Pringles and then My aunt came and picked the 3 of us up ( me, my mom, and sister ). We arrived downtown at about 7:30-ish and did some stuff at the Ann Taylor tent and then went looking for food. I ended up getting some ChiChi's Salsa, Sun Chips, a funny tasting granola bar, and some grape juice. Most of it was gone by the start of the race.
Three words. It was cold. Even through my 2 or more layers of clothes and jacket I was a bit shivery.
