School is over

July 20th, 2006



Finally, school is over and I can relax at home! Yay! To the left there is a picture of the book my classmates made for me. It has pictures of my class and messages from everyone in it. Above is a picture of my class with me in the center.

For the past 2 weeks we've been having half-days where we only have 4 periods and then get o go home. On the last day we had an assembly and then went home at around 10:30. During the assembly we had a little mini jazz concert and it was pretty nift.

After the assembly we went back to the classroom and they sang me a song (COSMOS) and then gave me the book. I was supposed to give a good-bye speech, but I'm no good at those things so I just said thanks and good-bye.

I'm really going to miss the bag and the uniform, even though it was itchy. I have to return them Tuesday.

Beer Shopping

July 16th, 2006


Today we went beer shopping! MMMmmm! Yummy! (not really) Obachan, Ojichan, and I went to the beer shop and another mall type place to buy things for our Yukatas! It was really fun and I got this nift Coleman beer mug from the this drawing thing. We bought 3 cases of beer so we got to draw out three pieces of paper from a box and two of them were loseing pieces, but we still got a little mat and beer mug as shown in picture above. The third piece was a winner and we got this catalogue with a lot of items in it and we're allowed to choose anything we want from it, nothing much I would want though.

One Month Update

June 2, 2006

Ok! I've been here in Japan for amonth now! It's pretty cool so far. On the right is a picture of me (right) and one of my friends from teo years ago (left). Her name is Aya and she's one grade below me. School has been ok, but it's not exactly what I look forward to everyday. What I actually look forward to is lunch! Oba-chan's obento are the bestest (yes, good enough for a made up word)! The other day I went to Tsukashin and bought a couple mechanical pencils and a pencil case. They're so cute! It was a bit more exciting than usual considering I went with only Chichi. I'm surprised we didn't get lost or anything of the sort.

I'm having a pretty good time swimming too, but I've had 3 swimming classes cancelled on me. I've four left to go. School ends on the 20th and then on the 21st first my Dad comes!
