Project 365 : Days 3 & 4

Day 3:
January 3rd 2010

So, this is the sight that I woke up to; Sage taking all the tissues out of the tissue box and spreading them around him. Coincidentally, he's sick at the moment and has a very runny nose. I guess the kid knew what he was doing. He's been a bit sick, and I fell asleep in the middle of the night comforting him, thus he ended up in my bed.

Not much got done today. We had a rough night, though. He cried until almost midnight before finally falling asleep.

Day 4:
January 4th 2010

Massive cleaning to the room. I'm fairly proud of myself now that I can see my floor and the books on the bookshelf are actually visible. I spent the first half of the day on this task, but I bet to most people it still looks like a mess. Half a trash bag full of old memories and trinkets went out today. I found TONS of parts and pieces to electronic devices. I'd always try to fix everything as a kid, even though most items saved weren't worth fixing.

It took some serious convincing to throw a lot of the stuff out. I hate to waste, and I hate to let things go. That's how it got so cluttered in the first place. No matter how useless the item, I seem to always have this nagging "what if I need this..." thought in my head. Today, I defeated that nagging feeling and got rid of much stuff. Lysol'd pretty much every surface in the room and vacuumed twice (just to be safe). The room wasn't really dirty, just cluttered and there was plenty of dust on the shelf. Overall, a successful endeavor.

The rest of the day was spent relaxing, enjoying the free time before school starts on Wednesday.
